"New Release" Franck Muller launches the Grand Central Tourbillon with a central tourbillon wristwatch
Franck Muller has unveiled a new tourbillon wristwatch, the "Grand Central Tourbillon". What makes it special is its unique "central tourbillon" structure, which places the slowly rotating tourbillon as the visual focal point on the dial.
The Cintrée Curvex barrel-shaped case has been redesigned with slender, flowing lines. The glass extends to both ends of the case, reaching the lugs, making the dial appear more spacious and open. The case is crafted from carbon fiber with a fine texture, and the black and grey stripes of carbon fiber create a subtle texture that is both charmingly elegant and abstractly casual.
The lacquered dial features striking oversized Arabic numerals, with an engraved guilloche pattern that radiates outward in a spiral pattern, echoing the rotation of the tourbillon. Since the tourbillon occupies the central position on the dial, the hand gear system has been accordingly modified, with the hands mounted on the edge of the tourbillon, appearing to float above the dial.
It is equipped with the in-house FM CX 40T-CTR automatic winding movement, with a frequency of 28800vph and a power reserve of up to 4 days.
It comes with a fluoro-rubber tailored nylon strap and a new brushed finish folding clasp designed specifically for this model.
